Charitable KIDZ (also known as “Young Vincentians”) are junior high and high school students who together perform charitable works and community service for the benefit of their neighbors.  The KIDZ (and parents) meet several times during the year to plan their activities which include The Friends of the Poor Walk, food drives for our pantry, a celebration with residents of Catholic Charities group homes, children’s coat drives, etc.

One of their most significant events is the “Souper Bowl of Caring” which takes place on Super Bowl weekend.  Parishioners are invited to contribute money for a particular cause, which the KIDZ collect in soup pots at the weekend masses.  Over the years, they have collected for hurricane relief, Bethany House, camps in El Salvador and West Virginia, the I.N.N., for fresh-water wells in Nigeria and similar good causes.

Carol and Ted Blach coordinate this ministry which is gospel-centered activity for the benefit of our local and world-wide communities.  If you are interested in joining or learning more about  this ministry, you can email us This email address is being protected from spambots.
